Kalon Tripa Dr Lobsang Sangay will be the chief guest at the film's premier at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) at 4.00 pm.
The film shows the unfolding of tragedy in the life of a young college student (Lobsang), who grew up in a typical Tibetan family in exile, as love and immaturity drive him towards drugs. The family on its part is unaware about the brewing cocktail of tragedy sipping into their son's life, a synopsis of the film released by the health department noted.
The drama unfolds the hidden yet spiralling tragedy of substance abuse and Tuberculosis which slowly destroy the very fabric of Tibetan community, it noted.
Through this film, the department aims to create mass awareness on the impact of both Tuberculosis and substance abuse on the Tibetan community, the health department said.
The film is directed by Samten Dhondup, a teacher at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, and it features professional TIPA artists as its casts.
